Emergency Loan Application and Feasibility StudyCONSOLIDATED HOME SUPPLY DITCH & RESERVE <br />ditch, remove sediment and debris, place erosion protection, rebuild the measuring flume house <br />with new flow measuring equipment, and install slope stabilizing fill along eroded banks. <br />The repair of the breached areas will include construction repair activities to rebuild the washed <br />out ditch sections and repair erosion damage adjacent to the breaches. <br />Cost Estimate <br />The Project cost estimate, provided by Deere & Ault Consultants, is $444,000 and is further <br />broken down as follows: <br />Task <br />Cost <br />Design <br />$35,000 <br />Permitting <br />$9,000 <br />Construction <br />$330,000 <br />Other <br />Contingency <br />$70,000 <br />Total <br />$444,000 <br />Consolidated Home Supply Ditch and Reservoir is applying for a loan not to exceed $444,000. <br />Schedule <br />Construction of the Project is expected to commenced in September 2013 by reconstruction of an <br />access and maintenance drive from Highway 34 to the headworks on the Big Thompson River. <br />A fast -track schedule is proposed with design completed in November 2013. Essential <br />construction items to make the ditch fully and safely operable for irrigation flows for the spring <br />of 2014 will be completed by April 2014. <br />Economic, Social, and Environmental Effects <br />The successful completion of the repair work will benefit 15,000 to 20,000 acres of irrigated <br />farm land, as well as habitat and recreational activities associated with the Colorado State Parks <br />and Mariano (aka Boedecker) Reservoir. <br />Permits <br />A USACOE authorization to work in the river under the agricultural exemption will be applies <br />for. <br />
