Project completion is <br />estimated to occur by April, 2014. <br />Economic, Social, and Environmental Effects <br />The Green Ditch is an important component of the agricultural economy in Boulder County and <br />the South Platte Basin. On average, nearly 1850 acres are irrigated under this ditch providing for <br />a significant contribution to the production of grains and pastures. In addition, nearly half of the <br />shares are used to irrigate City of Boulder's Open Space and Mountain Parks, either owned in <br />fee title or protected through a conservation easement. Many of these properties are used by the <br />local community members for activities such as hiking, cycling, fishing and wildlife viewing. <br />The quality of the recreational experience would certainly deteriorate if the Green Ditch was not <br />able deliver irrigation water in future irrigation seasons. <br />Permits <br />ERO Resources will apply for all applicable permits on behalf of the Company. The Company <br />will request an appropriate permit from the Army Corps of Engineers. The Company will also <br />apply to the City of Boulder for a Wetlands Permit. <br />
