On average, nearly 1850 acres are irrigated under this ditch providing for
a significant contribution to the production of grains and pastures. In addition, nearly half of the
shares are used to irrigate City of Boulder's Open Space and Mountain Parks, either owned in
fee title or protected through a conservation easement. Many of these properties are used by the
local community members for activities such as hiking, cycling, fishing and wildlife viewing.
The quality of the recreational experience would certainly deteriorate if the Green Ditch was not
able deliver irrigation water in future irrigation seasons.
Permits
ERO Resources will apply for all applicable permits on behalf of the Company. The Company
will request an appropriate permit from the Army Corps of Engineers. The Company will also
apply to the City of Boulder for a Wetlands Permit.
