The amount of direct irrigation water delivered to
the Wadley Farms No. 3 headgate can then be determined by applying 35% for ditch
losses. The amount of storage water available to the Wadley Reservoir rights can be
determined by multiplying FHL headgate diversions for November to April by 3.28
percent (249.4 acre -feet decreed for the Wadley Reservoirs / 7604 acre -feet under the
Dunklee decree). followed by application of 35% ditch loss. These values are shown in
Figure 8, Table 4 and in Appendix D.
Using this method, the average historic direct irrigation water amount available at the
Wadley Farms No. 3 headgate from the Signal Ditch with the three FHL shares owned by
the HOA, not including reservoir storage deliveries, was 54.5 acre -feet. The average
historic yield of the Wadley Reservoir rights was 74.0 acre -feet giving a total average
annual water availability, from both direct irrigation and reservoir storage deliveries, for
the HOA of 128.5 acre -feet. The minimum amounts available at the Wadley Farms No. 3
headgate for direct irrigation, exclusive of reservoir storage deliveries, with the three
FHI, shares were 26.6 acre -feet in the drought year of 1954 and 27.0 acre -feet in the
drought year of 2002.
