4. Please provide a brief description of the owner's existing water supply facilities and describe
any existing operational or maintenance problems. Attach a map of the service area
Approximately 91,729 feet of open, unlined ditches (including two intake ditches and three
delivery laterals), together with one reservoir of approximately 150 acre feet of storage, make
up the existing water supply facilities. Existing operational or maintenance problems include a
slump in the downstream side of the dam,the repair of which is the proposed project which we
need funds for payment of engineering and construction costs, along with annual maintenance to
ditches, flumes, siphons and diversion structures, as may be required. We filed an application
with the Bureau of Reclamation for Salinity Control Program funding with the intent of piping
all the delivery ditches below the reservoir(laterals) which, if approved, would eliminate two of
the laterals by expanding the remaining one and rerouting a portion so as to reduce the length of
the delivery system and greatly decrease irrigation water transportation losses. However, we
recently received a notice from Bureau of Reclamation that our application was denied because
our cost was higher than those that were approved. They recommended we reapply the next
time funding is offered.
Map of service area is shown as Figure 5 in attached Feasibility Report.
For existing facilities indicate:
Number of shareholders 18 or Number of customers served
Current Assessment per share $ 3.25 Number of shares 8628
Number of acres irrigated approx 500 Water Right: 35.5 CFS.
Average water diverted per year: approx 950 acre-feet.
Part B.-Description of the Project
1.
