(BGI) was retained by the LCDRC to evaluate the cause of failure and
to provide repair options for the Lone Cabin Dam to enable lifting of the current storage
restriction. A limited geotechnical drilling exploration program, laboratory testing, and seepage
and stability analyses were conducted in the dam evaluation. A report presenting the findings
of these evaluations as well as the conceptual dam modification options proposed to achieve
the dam safety requirements as defined by the State of Colorado's Rules and Regulations for
Dam Safety and Dam Construction was submitted to the Lone Cabin Ditch and Reservoir
Company.
