Exhibit A <br /> Statement of Work <br /> WATER ACTIVITY NAME — Mt. Pisgah Dam/Wrights Reservoir Outlet Works <br /> Rehabilitation Project <br /> GRANT RECIPIENT—Pisgah Reservoir and Ditch Company <br /> FUNDING SOURCE—Arkansas Roundtable,Water Supply Reserve Account(WSRA) <br /> INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND <br /> The Pisgah Reservoir and Ditch Company owns and operates Pisgah Dam and Wrights Reservoir <br /> for the benefit of its 573 shareholders. The primary purpose of the Company is to supply water, <br /> via the Catlin Canal, for irrigation of 20,000 acres of agricultural land across an 18-mile stretch <br /> between La Junta and Manzanola. On average the Company delivers 84,000 AF annually. <br /> An SEO inspection of Pisgah Dam was performed in June 2011. The Engineer's Inspection <br /> Report issued by the SEO identified multiple deficiencies and safety concerns and placed <br /> conditional requirements on the full storage capacity of the reservoir. The Company is required <br /> to modify the outlet woks and replace the existing control valves or the reservoir is in danger of a <br /> storage level restriction being issued by the SEO; thereby reducing the allowable storage <br /> capacity of the reservoir. <br /> OBJECTIVE <br /> The Project includes the design and construction of repairs to the inlet structure, control valves, <br /> and dual 30-inch intake conduits, required per SEO order, to restore control and extend the <br /> useful life of Pisgah. <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Task 1—Outlet Works Rehabilitation <br /> This task encompasses all labor, materials, and equipment required for the design and <br /> construction of the outlet works improvements, including slide gate, hydraulic control lines, air <br /> venting, and removal of the internal valve components. <br /> Method/Procedure <br /> Construction methods and procedures shall be in accordance with the final engineering <br /> construction drawings and specifications to be prepared by a professional civil engineer. <br /> All operations shall be performed following OSHA and all other local, State and Federal <br /> laws and regulations for work in an underground environment. <br /> 1 <br />
