Erie's population has doubled within this decade and <br /> rapid development is anticipated over the next ten years. With the new growth comes an increase <br /> in water demands. In addition to the Water Conservation Plan, the Town will coordinate their <br /> efforts with a Drought Committee, a stakeholder steering committee during the development and <br /> implementation of Drought Management Plan. Erie estimates that through implementation of <br /> the Plan,the Town may see 15% in drought savings. The Plan will also assist the Town in <br /> ensuring community health and safety through a reliable and safe water supply. <br /> Erie is committing 25%matching funds in the form of$2,700 in cash& $9,829 of in-kind <br /> services. The OWCDP staff has reviewed and evaluated the grant application and has <br /> determined that the proposal meets or exceeds the CWCB guidelines for reviewing grant <br /> proposals.
