PCC Meeting —July 08, 2010 <br />Version: August 30, 2010 <br />C. The environmental commitment it to prevent escapement from Lake <br />Nighthorse, allowing fish to enter the Animas River below the dam. <br />1. This means that Reclamation needs to address the reality of eggs possibly <br />surviving and being introduced to the river. <br />D. Two additional tests will be performed at approximately the 6852 and the 6882 <br />elevations. The intent is to test the mortality at each atmosphere of pressure <br />the fish/eggs will be subjected to if they make it into the outlet works. <br />E. CDOW has mentioned a possibility of stocking warm water species in the lake, <br />possibly as a deterrent to public stocking of undesirable species. Reclamation <br />has committed to stocking trout in the lake, which is currently scheduled for <br />late this summer or fall. Reclamation has no commttifidtit -for stocking any <br />other species, and if agreement can be made, CDQ*,yvould do any other <br />stocking on their own. <br />XIV. Cultural Resources <br />A. The Reclamation archaeologist and the cultt'i' 1 resources c6b- 4nator for the <br />UMUT noted that the technical publications will be supplied tobraries, <br />universities, and other technical resou 04; however, there is an ii t st in a <br />summarized lay coffee table edition. Ali ndees=!ure asked to provide <br />information on the number of books to be printed. <br />1. It was noted that the book will contain mddli.local information regarding <br />historical families, the U10. Trail, the protect history, etc. <br />2. Attendees were also asked to ctn�tder how many Bard back editions <br />should be printed, versus the number s f soft back copies. <br />a. There is currently a budget £or 175 copies in a soft -back form. <br />B. Technical voluirie 1.J3 have been;`printed and distributed. Volumes 14 -17 <br />will be distributed t6ii6ther. <br />M <br />1. Reclaift't was asked to inclutte the Association (R. Howard) in the <br />o conimbo s,were received from the public. <br />A Previous action i — Provide updates of WCA schedule for the Ridges Basin <br />Diittt Completion Wontract as they become available. (ongoing) <br />B. Previous action rem — Reclamation is to keep all PCC members informed of <br />the upcang budgeting and funding issues between PCC meetings. <br />C. New actia '- Sponsors need to consider the number and type of coffee table <br />type archaeology publications to print. <br />D. New action — Sponsors need to consider the names for nominees to be included <br />in the tribute garden. <br />E.
