Subject: Transfer Inspection, Ridgway Dam, Dallas Creek Project, Colorado
(Transfer from Construction to Operation and Maintenance)
The Ridgway Dam Inspection Team composed of the individuals listed in the
enclosed report met at the dam on September 20, 1990. The Ridgway Dam was
inspected in accordance with Reclamation Instructions, Paragraphs 232.0.7 and
232.0.8. The enclosed transfer inspection report has been prepared based on
the field review and subsequent discussions.
The report identifies some work that may not be completed until after the
transfer date, particularly the inspection of the upstream portion of the
outlet works conduit, which we recommend not be done until there is an
apparent need to do so.
It is recommended that the transfer date be set for January 1, 1991, with all
responsibilities for the care, operation, and maintenance of Ridgway Dam and
Reservoir being assumed by the Tri- County Water Conservancy District.
Please review the enclosed report, complete the signature page, and distribute
the report as required.
