Differential Water Level Measuring Device <br />The differential water -level measuring device uses ultrasonic technology to measure the <br />water levels upstream and downstream of the fish screens. One transducer and fiberglass <br />reinforced pipe (FRP) stilling well is located upstream of the fish screens. One transducer <br />and FRP stilling well is located downstream of the fish screens. One water level measuring <br />control device (receiver /monitor) is mounted in the intake structure control building. <br />Reclamation will ensure that this device functions as designed, including: <br />• Starting fish screen cleaner at predetermined differential. <br />• Shut down pumping plant at predetermined differential. <br />• Shut down pumping plant at downstream measuring device elevation of 6438. <br />• Tie into SCADA with differential alarm and value. <br />Operation during the 2013 reservoir filling will be confirmed, as well as remote water level <br />sensing from the Pumping Plant and Fish Screen cleaner operator.
