5. PHYSICAL SUPPLY SYSTEM
5.1 WATER SUPPLY DEMANDS
The current number of taps on the District's billing register is 1,701 taps (1,838 ERU). At build -out,
the District plans to service 3,240 taps (4,347 ERU). Before the drought of 2002, the District
experienced an annual demand per active tap of up to 0.41 acre -feet per tap (af/tap). Since 2002, the
demand per active tap has dropped significantly, in part to an awareness by District customers of the
limited availability of the Beaver Creek supply. For future planning purposes, the District uses an
annual municipal demand of 0.37 af/tap (0.28 af/ERU). Based on an annual demand of 0.37 af/tap
(0.28 af/ERU), the demand for the District at build -out of 3,240 taps (4,347 ERU) will be
approximately 1,200 af/year. The District's historical water demand since 1991 and estimated future
demand is shown on Figure 2.
