This year, six tours will be held across the state <br />(and even into Canada and Montana) to offer a firsthand look at North Dakota's criti- <br />THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS <br />Advanced Engineering, Bartlett and West Engineers, <br />Garrison Diversion Conservancy District, Houston <br />Engineering, Moore Engineering, Montgomery Watson, <br />N.D. "Last year, the tours filled up very <br />quickly, so don't wait to reserve your seats this year!" <br />These entertaining and educational tours will focus on <br />water supply and quality, environmental restoration, fish <br />and wildlife, flood management, water conservation, and <br />more, and will be illustrated and addressed by a wide <br />variety of speakers representing different viewpoints. <br />Individual registration is only $15 per person (with the <br />exception of the two -day "Irrigation in the Northwest" tour — see details below), and <br />includes tour transportation, meals, refreshments, informational materials, and a one- <br />year subscription to the North Dakota Water magazine. <br />Canadian Tour: June 14 <br />Learn how our neighbors to the north <br />are developing value -added agriculture, <br />crop diversification, irrigation districts, <br />and addressing water supply needs. <br />The tour will begin and end in Cando. <br />Participants will need to provide proof <br />of U.S. citizenship with either a valid <br />passport or birth certificate. <br />North Dakota Water ■ May 2005 5 <br />
