PROJECT SPONSOR
Project sponsor is Greeley Water and Sewer, an enterprise created in 1958 in
the charter of the City of Greeley. Revenues are collected from three primary
sources:
✓ Rates (80 % -90% of total)
✓ Plant investment fees (paid by developers)
✓ Miscellaneous (includes tap fees, equipment rentals, royalties on department -
owned land)
The borrower will be the Water Fund.
SUMMARY OF THE BORROWER'S WATER RIGHTS
[Emailed previously]
PROJECT DESCRIPTION (see attached map below)
High Park Fire
This phase will be handled like the previous phase, which was interrupted by the
onset of winter weather patterns. The description below is of Phase I, because
the design for Phase II is still being developed by consultants JW Associates.
The following is partially excerpted from an earlier memo and includes the costs related
to NRCS- recommended treatment: EWP BAER report:
5,657 acres of non- federal lands need mitigation = $9.9 million
Responsible for $7.4 million in treatment costs, and potentially structure costs
$2.4 million.
Aerial straw most effective - 5657 acres non- federal land - critical
Cost is $1,200 to $1,300 per acre
Total - $7.3 million
We would like to do as much this year as possible before winter - 2,600
acres - Phase 1
Sediment traps, check structures - approximately $2.6 million
