Water for recharge is injected through a well directly into the saturated aquifer raising the water table in <br />a conical mound around the well. The well can also be used for recovery of the injected water as an ASR well. Injection can use a dedicated injection pipe or the <br />pump column equipped with a down -hole flow control valve. A radial well increases the radius of influence of the well through a series of horizontal feeder <br />screened pipes arranged in a radial pattern around the well. <br />20 <br />
