Our experience with water resource projects provides us with the <br />understanding and ability to assist the state in the evaluation necessary for the Statewide <br />Water Initiative. <br />Water Consult <br />Water Consult was established in 1980. The firm specializes in providing assistance in <br />environmental regulatory matters and strategic planning services to water organizations. <br />The firm has completed NEPA compliance and conducted environmental assessments on <br />several major projects in Colorado. Most recently the firm has been selected by the City <br />of Aurora to complete NEPA compliance on transfer of Arkansas Valley water rights to the <br />South Platte basin. Water Consult recently completed NEPA compliance, ESA <br />compliance, and 404 permitting on the City of Loveland's Green Ridge Glade Reservoir <br />expansion. Other projects include environmental assessments of the Azure Hydroelectric <br />Project on the main stem of the Colorado River; assistance in NEPA compliance on the <br />Windy Gap Project on a supplemental EIS and obtaining mine land reclamation permits <br />for that project; environmental assessment of the Cache la Poudre Water Resources <br />Hydroelectric Project for the Colorado Water Resources Power Development Authority; <br />environmental assessment of USBR Garrison Diversion Union in North Dakota; <br />preliminary assessments of environmental permitting requirements for the Standley Lake <br />expansion project, the Metropolitan Wastewater Reclamation District (Denver) water <br />exchange alternatives, and the Tennessee Creek Reservoir (Pueblo Board of Water Works). <br />Water Consult serves as environmental compliance advisor for the City of Albuquerque's <br />Water Resource Development Projects, a $220 million series of projects. <br />Water Consult has conducted numerous water quality, hydrology and water rights <br />investigations. The firm has developed innovative approaches to Endangered Species Act <br />compliance in the Platte River basin, Colorado River basin, San Juan River basin, and <br />Middle Rio Grande.
