Olsson shall Stake boring locations, record state plane coordinates and NAVD 88 <br />ground surface elevation at each boring location. <br />C. Olsson proposes to use a truck - mounted drill rig and hand augering equipment to <br />complete a total of forty -one (41) soil test borings for the proposed J -2 Return Alternative <br />2, Areas 1 and 2. <br />Area 1 <br />• Eight (8) soil test borings to depths of 30 feet each. <br />• Three (3) soil test borings to a depth of 20 feet each. <br />• Four (4) soil test borings to a depth of 15 feet each. <br />Area 2 <br />• One (1) soil test boring to a depth of 50 feet. <br />• Four (4) soil test boring to a depth of 25 feet each. <br />• One (1) soil test boring to a depth of 20 feet. <br />• Nine (9) soil test borings to depths of 15 feet each. <br />• Eight (8) soil test borings to depths of 10 feet each. <br />D. The soil borings will be advanced to the depths proposed, or to refusal, whichever is <br />shallower. This proposal is based on a total drilling footage of 775 linear feet. <br />E. Olsson will contact Diggers Hotline of Nebraska to locate underground utilities. To insure <br />the safety of the crew on site, Landowner must inform Olsson the location of all utilities <br />and utility service connections. Cost of locating utility lines and service connections shall <br />be Client's responsibility. Olsson is not responsible or liable for damage to any utility or <br />service connection. <br />F. All boring locations must be readily accessible to a rubber tire drill rig. Any cost of <br />making boring locations accessible is Client's responsibility. <br />G. Drilling rigs are heavy equipment. Disturbance of natural surroundings including but not <br />limited to soil indentations, concrete cracking and damage to underground sprinkler <br />systems, may occur. Olsson shall not be liable or responsible for any site disturbance <br />that may occur as a result of bringing equipment on site. Client accepts full <br />responsibility for site disturbance. <br />H. Olsson shall perform sampling of soils in general accordance with ASTM D -1586 and <br />ATSM D -1587. <br />I. Olsson will record groundwater levels in the test borings at the time of drilling and upon <br />completion of the drilling operations. <br />J. Olsson shall perform laboratory soils analysis consisting of: <br />1. Laboratory testing to include unconfined compression tests (ASTM D- 2166), thin - <br />walled tube density tests (ASTM D- 2937), Atterberg limit test (ASTM D- 4318), one - <br />dimensional consolidation test (ASTM D- 2435), consolidated undrained triaxial <br />compression test (ASTM D- 4767), flexible wall permeameter (ASTM D- 5084), <br />particle size analysis of soils (ASTM D -422), crumb test (EM 1110 -2- 1906). <br />Page 2 <br />
