I
IPlatte River Recovery Implementation Project
Field In ves tiga tion Checklis t
Observation of Conveyance
• Supply from Jeffrey Reservoir, and return to the Platte River
Routes:
downstream of Brady,
Supply
• Supply would be 'finger to finger' (existing Jeffrey Res to the
proposed Jeffrey Canyon Res)
Return
11
• Return could either tie in to the existing Jeffrey Return (which is
undersized for pulse flow at 1250 cfs) of configure a new canal
that could be used in exchange with the Supply Canal,
• Jeffrey Return has a current capacity of 1250 cfs
• Maybe possible to enlarge so that deliveries. could be made to
return, from a new reservoir.
Presence of Infrastructure
• Jeffrey Reservoir, Jeffrey Power Return, and CNPPID Canal
(wells, irrigation canals, etc)
• Jeffrey Return structure near the intersection of S. Scott Rd and
Line Rd. Structure splits flow to return to Platte River, or
continue down the CNPPID canal system,
1a
.......................... ...........................
Nil 1 1111
Fig 3: View from Jeffrey Return structure, looking d/s on the
CNPPID canal
I
I
I
1 3
I
