District Contracts with Jean Van Pelt for the <br />Coordination of Education Programs and <br />Maintenance of the Xeriscape/Water Conservation <br />Demonstration Garden <br />The District has contracted with <br />a Master Gardner to coordinate a <br />team of volunteers to provide <br />maintenance for the xeriscape <br />garden at the District's new office <br />building at the Pueblo Airport <br />Industrial Park, and to develop an <br />educational program for the public <br />on the benefits of xeriscape <br />gardening. Jean Van Pelt is under <br />contract with the District and will <br />begin working immediately on an <br />annual maintenance plan for the <br />garden. In addition, Jean will <br />provide information on the <br />xeriscape garden and water <br />conservation demonstration plots in <br />the form of a brochure and web <br />page on the District's Web site <br />(www.secwcd.org). <br />The first year the garden will <br />maintain the garden or conduct <br />educational tours, please contact Jean <br />via the District office, (719) 948 -2400. <br />involve a lot of planting and <br />seasonal maintenance, and public <br />awareness.
