DRAFT - 9/26/01 <br />SECWCD - AURORA IGA <br />viii. Aurora makes the following commitments, with the <br />expectation that these commitments will be reflected in any <br />future contract entered into between Aurora and the United <br />States for use of Fry -Ark Project facilities: <br />a. Aurora shall cooperate in a flow management <br />program designed to bypass sufficient inflows when <br />necessary to achieve target minimum flows of 100 <br />c.f.s. (including Fish Hatchery return flows) on the <br />Arkansas River just below Pueblo Dam, as provided <br />in the Implementation Committee Report. <br />b. Aurora shall participate in a long -term water quality <br />monitoring and maintenance program as outlined in <br />the Implementation Committee Report. The <br />financial obligations for such participation are <br />expected to begin in January 2002, pursuant to a <br />joint funding agreement between the Southeastern <br />and the United States Geological Survey ( "USGS "). <br />The USGS has estimated the cost for this program <br />in 2002 to be $164,900, with the non - federal portion <br />of the cost -share estimated to be $97,300.
