<br />1. NAME OF STRUCTURE: Mt. Elbert Forebay.
<br />2. SOURCE: Waters impounded by Twin Lakes Reservoir
<br />Enlargement.
<br />3. POINT OF DIVERSION: Mt. Elbert Forebay Dam Sta. 16 +00
<br />near the center of the dam, a point whence the quarter corner
<br />of Sections 5 and 8. Township 11 South, Range 80 West of the
<br />6th P.M., bears North 23° 291. 57" West a distance of 1,284.13
<br />feet. Said reservoir will inundate portions of Sections 7 and
<br />8, Township 11 South, Range 80 West of the 6th P.M.
<br />4. PURPOSES: All features, having for their purpose the
<br />Fryingpan- Arkansas Project as hereinafter described, shall have
<br />the right to the use of all waters decreed for irrigation, manu-
<br />facturing, domestic, municipal, and power purposes; all munici-
<br />pal purposes, including human consumption, fire protections
<br />sewage treatments, street sprinkling, watering of parks, lawns
<br />and grounds, and maintaining adequate storage reserves; all
<br />farming purposes, including the growing of crops of all kinds,
<br />stock water, domestic purposes, and the watering of lawns,
<br />trees and shrubs; all industrial purposes, and the generation
<br />of electric power; flood control; recreation; wildlife conser-
<br />vation; and for a succession of such uses and to fill and re-
<br />fill said reservoirs, forebays, and afterbays and use and
<br />reuse of all the project waters herein described, and for
<br />high pumped storage.
