ATTACHMENT A <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />AMONG THE <br />BUREAU OF RECLAMATION AND THE <br />ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES, THE <br />COLORADO RIVER BOARD OF CALIFORNIA, THE <br />COLORADO RIVER COMMISSION OF NEVADA, THE <br />NEW MEXICO INTERSTATE STREAM COMMISSION, THE <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD, THE <br />UTAH DIVISION OF WATER RESOURCES, AND THE <br />` WYOMING STATE ENGINEERS OFFICE <br />FOR DIRECTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PROGRAM PLAN <br />AS FUNDED IN THE AGREEMENT FOR <br />A PRECIPITATION MANAGEMENT DEMONSTRATION ACTIVITY <br />1. THIS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) is made and entered <br />into this day of , 19 , by and among: the <br />Arizona Department of Water Resources; the Colorado River Board <br />of California; the Colorado River Commission of Nevada; the New <br />Mexico Interstate Stream Commission, the Utah Division of Water <br />Resources, the Colorado Water Conservation Board of the state of <br />Colorado, and the Wyoming State Engineers Office; all of which at <br />times are referred to as "Colorado River Basin States "; and the <br />Bureau of Reclamation, hereinafter referred to as "Reclamation ", <br />pursuant to the Act of Congress approved June 17, 1902, <br />(32 Stat. 388), and acts amendatory thereof or supplementary <br />thereto, all of which acts are commonly known and referred to as <br />Reclamation Law, and particularly pursuant to the Colorado River <br />Basin Project Act of 1968 (43 U.S.C., Stat. 1501). <br />WITNESSETH: <br />EXPLANATORY RECITALS <br />2. a. WHEREAS, the Reclamation and the Colorado River Basin <br />States (Basin States) seek the development of a program plan to <br />describe the technical basis, and the activities and costs <br />required to conduct a precipitation management demonstration <br />program (Program Plan); and <br />b. WHEREAS, $90,000 of federal funds have been made <br />available to match with $91,000 in non - federal funds as described <br />in the Agreement to develop said Program Plan; and <br />11 <br />
