Your request for FY 2011 Colorado Partnership Program — Environmental
Quality Incentive Program (EQIP) funding for your proposal "2011 Rio Grande Plaza Project —
Phase 2" has been approved.
NRCS approves $250,000 of 2011 EQIP monies which will improve irrigation efficiency for
approximately 10 -12 landowners. The project also addresses plant health and the water quality
of the Rio Grande River. One diversion replacement and obstruction removal are practices
improved for this project.
These resource concerns and practices are high priority for application funding. Other resource
concerns and practices are not eligible without written approval from Jodi Hastings, Colorado
EQIP Program Manager.
Participating landowner(s) will need to submit an EQIP program application to the NRCS field
office no later than April 15, 2011 to be considered for funding. The program contract must be
completed and obligated in the Protracts system by April 29, 2011.
Please work with your Area Resource Conservationist for Programs and District Conservationist,
to develop your project specific screening and ranking criteria. See attached "Colorado FY2011
EQIP CPP Implementation Schedule" for more details.
The payment rate is based on the EQIP 2011 Geographic Area Payment Schedule for your
location. The payment schedule reflects the cost of practice performance rather than actual cost
of the practice. Please select the appropriate payment schedule when working with producers,
Helping People Help the Land
An Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer
