The supplemental water, made available by the project to the <br />280,600 acres under irrigation will mean frequently the differ- <br />ence between a harvest or crop failure. Headgate shortages will be reduced . In most pre- <br />vious years headgate shortages have been severe. <br />2. It will increase and stabilize farm incomes through increased crop production. <br />3. Land values will increase cornmensu rate with higher production, resulting in higher <br />taxable values. <br />4. It will increase Mate and f=ederal revenue through higher personal and corporate in= <br />comes. <br />5. It will increase the purchasing power of the ,r(-a at local, regional <br />q: and national levels, <br />l r,. 6.
