The timing is <br />5 fortuitous. . <br />611 I called on Duane for a report on the status of <br />7 the permanent pool and negotiations and he mentioned negotiation <br />8 that were going on with Fort Lyon. Is there anything you wish <br />9 to discuss at this time with respect to the permanent pool or <br />10 the neogiations with the Division of Wildlife? <br />11 MR. SCHROEDER: I can tell the Commission this: <br />12 That the Fort Lyon Canal Company has, over the last several <br />13 months, lost a superintendent. It has been involved in a <br />14 lengthy process to secure a new superintendent, It has had some <br />15 considerable problems with its own canal, and in general, it <br />16 has not had, let's call it, sufficient and adequate time to <br />17 give the proposed contract the kind of consideration, really, <br />18 that it deserves. <br />19 I spoke with Mr. Prenzlow just two or three <br />20 days ago by telephone during the evening and told Mr. Prenzlow <br />21 that the regular monthly meeting of the Fort Lyon Board, which <br />22 was this Wednesday, yesterday, during that meeting they would <br />23 not be able to reach a decision, during that meeting they would <br />24 not be able to vote. I expect that a vote will be held on the <br />25 contract at the next monthly meeting, which comes up approximat ly <br />
