<br />following notice of public hearing published at Omaha, Nebraska, September 20,

<br />1. A public hearing will be held by the undersigned in the Canfield
<br />Hotel at Greeley, Colorado, at 10 :00 a.ra., Wednesday, November 3, 1939,
<br />under the provisions of Section 6 of the Flood Control Act approved
<br />August 11, 1939, Public No. 396, 76th ConSress, which authorizes a prelimi-
<br />nary examination and survey for flood control of the watershed of the South
<br />Plattetiver and its tributaries, Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska.
<br />2. The above -cited Act provides that Federal investigations and im-
<br />provements of rivers and other waterways for flood control and -i,llied pur-
<br />poses shall be under the jurisdiction of and shall be prosecuted by the War
<br />Department under the direction of the Secretary of War and supervision of
