It is reported that five lives were lost in Bear Creek Canyon above Morrison during this flood. 60. Flood of July 81 1933.- A cloudburst caused both Bear Creek and Mt. Vernon Creek to overflow their banks. Very little damage was done, the crest height at Morrison being 3 feet below that during the flood of the proceeding day. 61. Flood of August 9, 1934. -- This flood was the result of a cloud- burst that extended from just below Kittredge to the head of Mt. Vernon Ofeek. Total reported damages for this flood amount to $99,000 as shown below.
