4
3.2.1 Implementation Timelines
2 Although sufficient science has been completed to define some of the required long -term monitoring
3 methods for fine- sediment mass balance, terrestrial vegetation, and monitoring native and nonnative
4 fishes, several other areas of monitoring have not yet been completely resolved. Areas of monitoring
5 where research and development on monitoring are still underway and for which PEPs are planned
6 between fiscal years 2010 and 2015 include the following subject areas:
7 • aquatic food web and downstream water quality (nutrient mass balance and trophic linkages)
8 • cultural resources and archaeological sites
9 • Lake Powell water quality
10 • campsites
11 • socioeconomics
12 Other projects that are currently in various stages of research and development will be brought forward
13 for review over the course of the next 5 years with the goal of having a fully developed core monitoring
14 program in place by FY2015. The proposed schedule for undertaking core monitoring reviews of all
15 projects is summarized in Table 2.
16
17 Table 2.
