COST ESTIMATE
The complete breakdown of the work proposed and the cost of the work proposed for Alternative 1
and Alternative 2, respectively, for both Allen Lake and Lake Isabelle are shown in TABLES 3, 4,
5, and 6. The costs are based on our past experience with similar projects and information and
costs provided by local contractors and suppliers. Left Hand Excavating has reviewed the costs
associated with this project and has provided significant input on the construction methods and
planning. Quantities were based on existing maps and drawings on file with the State Engineer.
For Allen Lake, a topographic survey was conducted and used to determine the details and
quantities of the work proposed. No detailed surveying has been conducted at Lake Isabelle with
the work being based on rudimentary measurements of the existing components with a tape
measure and plumb bob.
A summary of the costs for the two alternatives for each reservoir, including the engineering fees
and contingencies, are shown in the following TABLES 7 and 8.
