Chapter 1—Introduction <br />1.8 Grand Junction Intcrdisciplindry Team <br />The GJFO Interdisciplinary Team is made up of specialists covering resources and programs <br />under the field office jurisdiction. This team reviewed the initial inventory list a�d added <br />segments potentially containing ORVs. The interdisciplinary team reviewed the data collected <br />and determinations made during field visits to cach segment to provide a final determination on <br />eligibility for each segment. Determinations of frce-flowing and ORVs rcly on professional <br />judgment making the collective knowledge and experience of this team critical to the eligibility <br />determination process. <br />1.9 Other Agency and 1'ublic Input <br />During the public scoping and cooperating agency meetings (group composed of US Department <br />of Agriculture, National Forest Service (USFS), US Department of the Interior, Fish and Wildlife <br />Service (USFWS), State of Colorado Division of Natural Resources, Mesa County, Cities of <br />Grand Junction and Fruita, and Towns of Palisade, Collbran, and DeBequc) for the E3LM GJFO <br />RMP revision, the river inventory list and initial cligibility determinations were presented. <br />Scoping meetings were held in communities within the Grand Valley and Moab, UT (see Table <br />2.1). <br />The BLM received 36 discreet comments in seven letters during scoping. Most of the comments <br />(52.8%) related to either generel background information, management of cligible or suitable <br />segments, or suitability. Six comments (16.7%) provided addilional information pertaining to <br />ORVs that support eligibility. This information was included in the report as appropriate. Three <br />comments (8.3%) expressed oppositian to eligibility findings.
