Appendix A - ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION OF THE LAKE <br />MEREDITH RESERVOIR COMPANY <br />[Original 1907 and All Amendments Through 1996] <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that we, James A. Roberts, <br />Andrew Cant, Charles E. Clark, Edward L. Koons, George Urban, Jr. and Dwight W, Hodge, <br />residents and citizens of the State of New York, and William L. Hartman, resident and citizen of <br />the State of Colorado, have associated, and hereby do associate, ourselves together, for the <br />purpose of forming a body corporate and politic; and, in accordance with the laws of the State of <br />Colorado, do hereby make, execute and acknowledge, in four duplicate originals, this certificate <br />in writing, and by which we certify as follows: <br />FIRST: The corporate name of our Company shall be "THE LAKE MEREDITH <br />RESERVOIR COMPANY." <br />SECOND: {Amendment adopted January 26, 1987) The object for which our <br />Company is formed and incorporated are to purchase or otherwise acquire, what is commonly <br />known as the Lake Meredith reservoir and reservoir site situated in Township Twenty -one (21) <br />S., Range Fifty -six (56) W,; Township Twenty -one (21) S.; Range Fifty -seven (57) W.; Township <br />Twenty -two (22) S., Range Fifty -six (56) W.; and Township Twenty -two (22) S., Range Fifty - <br />seven (57) W., in the County of Otero, and State of Colorado; together with the rights, privileges <br />and priorities of appropriating and storing water therein and thereon for all beneficial purposes; <br />to build, construct, complete, maintain, repair, use and operate dams, canals, headgates, spillways <br />and all erections, fixtures, appliances and improvements that may be necessary or convenient in <br />
