IMPACTS <br />Risks associated with this project are minimal. There is widespread support of hydroelectric <br />generation in this community, as well as low environmental impacts. <br />The only potential perceived environmental impact of the project would be associated with the <br />entrapment of fish in the turbine. This is one reason why the Natel SLH Hydroengine was selected <br />for this site. Additional screening measures have been included in the construction plan and budget <br />to ensure that fish are not affected by this project <br />The FERC permitting process has been initiated as previously mentioned.
