Existing Water Right Information
Staff has analyzed the water rights tabulation and consulted with the Division Engineer Office to
identify any potential water availability problems. There were several water rights decreed
within this reach of stream at one time. However, most of these water rights have been
abandoned or transferred downstream. Based on this analysis staff has determined that water is
available for appropriation on the South Fork South Platte River, from U.S. Highway 285 and
extending to the South Section Line of Section 13 Township 12 South Range 77 West of the 6th
Principal Meridian.
CWCB Staff's Instream Flow Recommendation
Staff recommends the Board form its intent to appropriate on the following stream reach:
Segment: U.S. Highway 285 to South Section Line S13 T12S R77W 6PM
Upper Terminus: U.S. Highway 285 at
(Latitude 39° 04' 20 ") (Longitude 105° 58' 25 ")
Lower Terminus: South Section Line S13 T12S R77W 6PM
(Latitude 38° 59' 54 ") (Longitude 105° 56' 57 ")
Counties: Park
Length: 6.7 Miles
USGS Quad(s): Garo, Antero Reservoir
ISF Flow Recommendation: 10. cfs (April 15th — October 31st)
4.4 cfs (November 1st — April 14th)
South Fork South Platte River ISF RPT.doc
Last printed 01/02/02 11:06 AM
