CONEJOS WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT PLATORO RESERVOIR RESTORATION PROJECT QUARTERLY PROGRESS REPORT 2"a Quarter 2009 3rd Quarter 2009 4th Quarter 2009 lst Quarter 2010 2°a Quarter 2010 3ra Quarter 2010 � 4th Quarter 2010-FINAL REPORT Contract Routing Number 09 PDA 00110 Contract No. 150448 Grant Amount: $250,000 This quarterly report is being submitted by the Conejos Water Conservancy District (the "District") to the Colorado Water Conservation Board (the "CWCB") pursuant to Section 9 of the Grant Contract between the District and CWCB, signed by the state on 4/16/2009. The first phase of the Platoro Restoration Pro�ect was completed November 4, 2008, which included the by-pass piping and the painting of the 440-foot discharge tube. The total cost of this phase was $417,696.96, which has all been paid to the contractors from sources other than grant funds. In the 2°d Quarter, 3rd Quarter and 4th Quarter of 2009, the District engaged in negotiations and discussions with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation regarding the valves/gates to be installed on the Platoro Dam and details and specifications regarding the valves. The District and the Bureau agreed that jet flow gates will be installed to replace the existing valves and agreed on specifications. In the 1 St Quarter of 2010, the District identified the contractor which will be fabricating the jet flow gates which will replace the existing valves on the Platoro Dam and replacing the valves: Prime Machine, Inc. The contractor is different than the contractor whose original price quote was attached to the scope of work and formed the basis for the original budget. A revised budget table is attached to this progress report. The District understands that it will be responsible for any costs in excess of the grant. The District negotiated an agreement with Prime Machine, Inc., which is expected to be executed on or around May 3, 2010. In the 2°a quarter, Prime Machine was instructed to proceed and has in fact fabricated the valve housings and seal rings. Some pictures were included with the invoice for $21,000, which has subsequently been paid. More pictures will be sent with the next invoice to the state.
