� <br />Apri125, 2008 <br />Greg Trainor, Director <br />Utility and Street Systems <br />City of Grand Junction <br />250 North 5`� Street <br />Grand Junction, CO 81501 <br />� <br />Subject: Invoice No. 4: 2007/2008 Energy Development Water Needs Assessment <br />Dear Mr. Trainor: <br />Attached is our fourth progress report far engineering and consulting services as they <br />relate to the 2007/2008 Energy Development Water Needs Assessment for the period <br />February 29, 2008 through April 18, 2008. During this reporting period, the URS Team <br />focused on obtaining unit water demands for each of the various phases of the conceptual <br />oil shale (in-situ and surface retort), natural gas, coal and uranium water cycles. Mr. <br />Jared Walter, URS engineer, has engaged in some conversations with Mr. Robert <br />Vagnetti, Strategic Center for Natural Gas and Oil, and Mr. Glen Vawter, National Oil <br />Shale Association, obtaining further detail regarding the water demands for oil shale and <br />verification of some of the preliminary information URS has documented. URS has also <br />begun to develop the draft report for Phase 1. <br />The URS Team continues to research available information and documents as it becomes <br />available. <br />This progress report provides a summary of the work conducted by the URS "I'eam under <br />the November 9, 200� Professional Services Agreement for the 2007/2008 Energy <br />Development Water Needs Assessment project.
