' <br />' <br />Pumping Stations <br />The conveyance system will include three pumping stations, located at interim points along ' <br />the conveyance pipeline, as shown on Figure 2 above. <br />The selection of sites and the feasibility of these project components are described in more ' <br />detail in the following sections. <br />Selected Aiternative <br />Pumping Station 1 Site Selection <br />The City selected the PS-1 site as part of a larger land parcel consisting of about 28 acres <br />between the Brighton Ditch and Brantner Ditch north of Highway 7 in Adams County. A <br />United Power substation along Highway 7 is located immediately south of the PS-1 site. <br />Past uses of the site include agriculture, livestock grazing, and open space. The site has an <br />elevation of 4,979 feet above mean sea level. Figure 3 below shows the site selected for PS-1, <br />which will include the pumping station, a forebay, and a stormwater detention basin. <br />Adequate space is available for these facilities on the selected site. The site also includes <br />space for a future second raw water pumping station. <br />
