PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENT TO MODIFY WEATHER
<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that SOUTHERN COLORADO FARMS, LLC, 55 North
<br />Torres, Center, CO 81125, the "Applicant" has or is about to file with the Director of the
<br />Colorado Water Conservation Board an application for renewal of its Permit to operate
<br />hail cannons, a form of weather modification, upon its lands in Saguache County,
<br />Colorado pursuant to Colorado Revised Statutes (Title 20, 36 -20 -101 through 36 -20-
<br />126).
<br />The purpose of the project is to reduce the incidence of hail upon its lands generally
<br />located two to seven miles north and east of Center, Colorado in Saguache County
<br />encompassing some six and one half square miles, more specifically Sections 3, 10, 15,
<br />16, 17 and 20, all in township 41 North, Range 9 E NMPM, Sections 20, 21, 25, 26 and
<br />35 all in Township 41 North, Range 8 E NMPM.
<br />The duration of operation is a period beginning June 15 through September 15, 2011 and
<br />continuing so long as the permit is in effect.
<br />The intended effect of the operation of the hail cannons is to reduce the incidence of hail
<br />and the damage to crops being grown in south central Saguache County, Colorado.

<br />The hearing shall be conducted by the Department of Natural Resources,
<br />Water Conservation Board, State of Colorado, on the 25th day of May, 2011 in the
<br />City Council Chamber, Center Town Hall, 294 S. Worth Street, Center, Colorado at
<br />the hour of 2:30 P.M.
