STATEMENT OF WORK <br />WATER ACTIVITY NAME: Fort Morgan Reservoir and Irrigation Company Recharge and <br />Wetlands Project <br />GRANT RECIPIENT: Fort Morgan Reservoir and Irrigation Company <br />FUNDING SOURCE: WSRA funds ($250,000 from South Platte Basin Account and $420,000 <br />from the Statewide Account), CWCB Loan (up to $1,494,800), Applicant's own funds for <br />balance <br />INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND: <br />Pravide a brief description of the project. Please limit to no more than 200 words; this will be <br />used to inform reviewers and the public about your proposal. <br />This project is a structural water project to both divert water under a junior water right when <br />available for recharge and augmentation, and to re-divert and re-time augmentation credits that <br />result from more senior recharge projects. This project will develop and use approximately 500- <br />1,000 acre-feet of new water per year and 1,500 acre-feet of re-timed augmentation credits. <br />While conducting these water supply operations, this project will also benefit waterfowl in the <br />basin by providing additional wetland habitat. <br />This project involves installing a pipeline from the South Platte River three miles to the recharge <br />ponds, installing two pumps to pump water from the river, installing one augmentation well and <br />pumping equipment to pump water back to the river for augmentation purposes, and installing <br />seven augmentation/ <br />recharge ponds. <br />Project Implementation: Project implementation for which funds are being requested will <br />consist of installing a pipeline from the South Platte River three miles to the recharge ponds, <br />installing two pumps to pump water from the river, installing one augmentation well and <br />pumping equipment to pump water back to the river for augmentation purposes, and installing <br />seven augmentation/recharge ponds. <br />OBJECTIVES: <br />The Objective of this project is to provide diversion of junior water rights and diversion of <br />excess augmentation credits that result from more senior recharge projects. <br />The four major tasks of the project are: <br />Task 1: Installation of Pipeline <br />Task 2: Installation of Pumps <br />Task 3: Installation of Well and Well Pump <br />
