with steel trash racks and stop -log guides, 54 -inch round concrete conduit, <br />founded on a concrete bedding slab, gate chamber, two control gates, control <br />house, stilling basin, measuring flume and diversion facilities to Park Creek, <br />The capacity of the outlet works at full reservoir will be approximately 375 <br />cubic feet per second, with a normal maximum operational requirement of <br />about 250 cubic feet per second. At maximum operation, there will be ap- <br />proximately 35 to 40 feet available for excess storage over and above that <br />required for maximum operation. <br />Spillway. An uncontrolled spillway 200 feet wide, with a rein- <br />forced concrete control section for the initial 60 feet of length, will be cut <br />through the right abutment, approximately 255 feet from the west end of the <br />dam. The length of the spillway will be about 500 feet and it will spill into a <br />natural draw well below the dam. The spillway will be designed for a peak <br />discharge capacity of 8, 100 cubic feet per second at maximum flood stage, <br />Halligan Dam, The modifications and improvements to Halligan <br />Dam will consist of two new outlet control valves, two new discharge <br />pipes and a control building to house the hydraulic components that are re- <br />quired for operation of the control valves. <br />Irrigation Structures, No rehabilitation of existing or construction of <br />new structures or canals is planned under this project. <br />Construction Cost Estimates, The following is a summary of the es- <br />timated project costs, <br />S -6 <br />
