One of the metrics used to analyze flows relates to the probability of exceedence.
For example, a 50% possibility represents the chance, in any given year, that the
average flow will exceed a given flow rate. A plot of exceedence values throughout
the year are shown Figure 4 for the reach of the Animas River located downstream
of Lightner Creek. This reach includes the proposed Boating Park.
