' ' • � <br />: ' 1 .. <br />CALDWELL <br />June 25, 2001 <br />Mr. Ray Alvarado <br />Colorado Water Conservation Borad <br />Department of Natural Resources <br />1313 Sherman St. <br />Suite 723 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />Subject: Proposal for ArcView 3D Analyst Development Applications and Training. <br />Dear Mr. Alvarado: <br />Brown and Caldwell is pleased to present this proposal to provide ArcView 3D Analyst <br />development applications and training for the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB), <br />hereinafter "Client." <br />PROPOSED SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />As we discussed, the scope of services to be performed by Brown and Caldwell include the <br />following three tasks. <br />Task 1— Develop 3D Visualization of a MODFLOW Groundwater Model <br />This task will consist of creating 3D displays in both static format and animated movie files of <br />a typical MODFLOW groundwater model. To use as a demonstration, the recent groundwater <br />model developed for the RGDSS will be utilized. Perspective views for each geologic layer in <br />the model will be created in jpg format with additional features displayed such as the river <br />and stream systems, major highways and the existing ground. Animated movie files of each <br />layer will be created in .avi format showing the viewer rotating around each layer. In addition, <br />cross-sections will be developed for both an east-west and north-south alignment. An <br />animated movie will be created showing the geologic formation of the groundwater model <br />both by rows and by columns. It is anticipated at this time that the first transient model for the <br />RGDSS groundwater model will be available for use in this task.
