17 <br />1 (2) Section 2(e) of the Endangered American Wilder - <br />2 ness Act of 1978 (92 Stat. 41) is amended by striking <br />3 "subject to" and all that follows through "Systems". <br />4 (e) BUFFER ZONES. — Congress does not intend that <br />5 the designation by this Act of wilderness areas in the State <br />6 of Colorado creates or implies the creation of protective <br />7 perimeters or buffer zones around any wilderness area. <br />8 The fact that non - wilderness activities or uses can be seen <br />9 or heard from within a wilderness areas shall not, of itself, <br />10 preclude such activities, or uses up to the boundary of the <br />11 wilderness area. <br />12 SEC. 5. WIT RNESS REVIEW CONCERNS. <br />13 (a) FINDINGS. —The Congress finds that- <br />14 (1) the Department of Agriculture has ade- <br />15 quately met the wilderness study requirements of <br />16 Public Law 96 -560, Public Law 95 -237, and see- <br />17 tion 12(g) of Public Law 98 -141; <br />18 (2) the initial Land and Resource Management <br />19 Plans and associated environmental impact state - <br />20 ments (hereinafter referred to as "land and resource <br />21 management plans ") for the National Forests in the <br />22 State of Colorado have been completed as required <br />23 by section 6 of the Forest and Rangeland Renewable <br />24 Resources Planning Act of 1976; <br />8 10291S <br />
