Wild and Scenic River Designation <br />2- 2 -2 -2 -2 <br />The Recreation River areas are: <br />Downstream from the confluence Joe Wright Creek to a <br />point where the river intersects the easterly North - <br />South line of the W1 /2 SW1 /4 Section 1, Township 8 <br />North, Range 71 West. (A point east of Poudre Park). <br />Beginning at the Commanche Peak Wilderness Boundary to <br />a point on the South Fork of the Cache la Poudre River <br />in Section 1, T7N, R73W, Larimer County, Colorado, at <br />elevation 8050 mean sea level, 7 miles. <br />U.S. Forest Service: <br />The Forest Service study of the Cache la Poudre River <br />was initiated in 1977 in response to Public Law 93 -621 <br />directing the Secretary of Agriculture to determine if <br />83 -miles of the river were suitable for wild and scenic <br />designation. The detailed study of the river was <br />conducted by the Forest Service in cooperation with <br />other Federal agencies.
