Water Efficiency Grant Fund Recommendation for City of Westminster
Summary of Grant Application
The Office of Water Conservation & Drought Planning ( OWCDP) received a Water Efficiency Grant
Fund application from the City of Westminster. The City of Westminster is requesting $38,130 to develop
a water conservation plan that will comply with §37 -60 -126 C.R.S.
The City of Westminster is located in the South Platte River Basin where SWSI identified a gap of 22%
by 2030. With 87% of Westminster's water supply at buildout coming from the South Platte River basin,
the city understands the importance of incorporating water conservation into their comprehensive water
resources planning.
The City of Westminster has pledged 37% matching funds in the form of cash and in -kind services.
OWCDP staff has reviewed and evaluated the grant application and has determined that the proposal
meets or exceeds the CWCB guidelines for reviewing grant proposals. Attached is the internal checklist
used to evaluate the application.
Recommendation
The OWCDP staff recommends that Jennifer Gimbel, Director of the CWCB, authorize a Water
Efficiency Grant in the amount of $38,130 to the City of Westminster for development of a water
conservation plan in accordance with §37 -60 -126 C.R.S.
