Gimbel <br />CWCB Director <br />Water Efficiency Grant Fund Recommendation for City of Westminster <br />Summary of Grant Application <br />The Office of Water Conservation & Drought Planning ( OWCDP) received a Water Efficiency Grant <br />Fund application from the City of Westminster. The City of Westminster is requesting $38,130 to develop <br />a water conservation plan that will comply with §37 -60 -126 C.R.S. <br />The City of Westminster is located in the South Platte River Basin where SWSI identified a gap of 22% <br />by 2030. With 87% of Westminster's water supply at buildout coming from the South Platte River basin, <br />the city understands the importance of incorporating water conservation into their comprehensive water <br />resources planning. <br />The City of Westminster has pledged 37% matching funds in the form of cash and in -kind services. <br />OWCDP staff has reviewed and evaluated the grant application and has determined that the proposal <br />meets or exceeds the CWCB guidelines for reviewing grant proposals. Attached is the internal checklist <br />used to evaluate the application. <br />Recommendation <br />The OWCDP staff recommends that Jennifer Gimbel, Director of the CWCB, authorize a Water <br />Efficiency Grant in the amount of $38,130 to the City of Westminster for development of a water <br />conservation plan in accordance with §37 -60 -126 C.R.S. <br />Attachment.
