C) Upon completion of the Flaming Gorge Dam, the Green River was poisoned by Rex Tolifero (sp) with Rotenone to rid the "trash fish." The poison was successful and travelled beyond the confluence of the White River. Tonight we hear that these "trash fish" are alive and well, nearly 40 years later, despite controlled flow in the Green as well a temperature change. We need to start at our headwaters, build dams to store water for release .when needed, generate electricity, raise crops, irrigate, make plants to process CO2, and make our lands productive and sustain our future generations. We need air, water, and food first, then the bureaucrats can address how the endangered fish will fit the people program. Would water storage at higher elevations be feasible for flow control and also for flood control?
