Projects proposed for 2000 total <br />$3.9 million and include: $100,000 for construction of the North Trail fro <br />Red Sandstone Creek to Middle Creek; $50,000 for trailhead signs; <br />$240,000 for realignment of the Katsos Ranch bike path; $35,000 for <br />adjustments to the Booth Creek trailhead parking lot; $716,179 for annu <br />park, landscaping and recreation path maintenance; $60,000 for safety <br />improvements at Bighorn Park; $50,000 for stream stabilization at <br />Stephen's Park; $84,298 for improvements to Ford Park; $40,000 to <br />$230,000 to repair and /or replace the Nature Center bridge; $601,000 fo <br />development of Ellefson Park in West Vail; $303,218 for expansion of <br />Buffehr Creek Park; $151,249 for Ford Park playground improvements; <br />million for construction of a portion of a park for the lower bench of the <br />Donovan Park property; and $535,000 for acquisition of two parcels <br />recommended in the town's open lands plan. Also yesterday, <br />Councilmembers reviewed proposals for three unfunded RETT projects. <br />First, the Council gave preliminary approval to a proposal presented by <br />representatives from the Vail Valley Tourism and Convention Bureau to <br />allocate RETT funds to create a whitewater park from the Gore Creek <br />Promenade to the International Bridge.
