For more <br />information, contact Nina Timm in the Community Development <br />Department at 479 -2144. <br />-- DRB /PEC Report <br />During an update of the most recent meeting of the Planning and <br />Environmental Commission, the Council inquired about the status of the <br />town's application for a conditional use permit to allow for construction o <br />an athletic field near Red Sandstone School; received an update on <br />approval of an application by the Marriott Mountain Resort for a <br />conditional use permit for a seasonal structure (tent); and reviewed an <br />application process to formalize easements granted by the town to the V <br />Interfaith Chapel in 1998 as part of the chapel's expansion project. For <br />additional details, contact Brent Wilson in the Community Development <br />Department at 479 -2140. <br />-- Update of 208 Plan <br />The Council heard from Robert Ray of the Northwest Colorado Council <br />Government's Watershed Policy Program. Ray encouraged the town to <br />become involved in a process to update the Regional Water Quality <br />Management Plan which will be taking place over the next year. The pla <br />is mandated by the Clean Water Act. During discussion, Councilman <br />Chuck Ogilby inquired about a study of Black Gore Creek. He also <br />inquired about standards for expansion of Vail's wastewater treatment <br />facilities. <br />-- Review of Council Contribution Request Criteria <br />Next, the Council reaffirmed its contribution criteria, marking the beginni <br />of the 2002 budget process. The Council will use criteria established last <br />year in determining funding allocations requested by agencies and non- <br />profits. Evaluations will be based on a proposal's "direct benefit to the <br />entire community of Vail, fulfillment of the town's mission, and how this <br />contribution will affect our resort community's future health."
