To be easily usable by educators, especially new teachers and those who are <br />uncomfortable with teaching science, to ensure its continued use over the physical <br />life of the kits. <br />The current version of the Water's Ways kits are the result of these efforts and provide <br />high-quality, tested water education materials that are currently in use in approximately <br />2,500 classrooms in the Arkansas, South Platte, and Colorado river basins. <br />THE SUPPLIER <br />GENTLE EARTH EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES (formerly Learning Connections) WaS <br />contracted by the City of Colorado Springs in 1995 to develop the Water's Ways kits. <br />They have worked with the City and the school districts throughout the creation <br />process, serving as coordinators for the project and as fabricators of the kits and <br />manuals. <br />GENT�E EaRTH holds sole rights from the City of Colorado Springs to market, fabricate, <br />modify and disseminate the Water Cycle and the Watershed kits. <br />GENTLE EARTH has current agreements with the City of Aurora, the City of Colorado <br />Springs, Eagle River Water and Wastewater, the Upper South Platte Watershed <br />Protection Association, and the Ute Water Conservancy District to produce materials <br />and provide support to districts already using the kits. <br />In addition to work with Water's Ways GENTLE EARTH has provided consultation and <br />products for parks and nature centers, citizen planning efforts, and interpretive projects <br />in several states. <br />GE►vr�E Ea,RrH is owned and operated by Judith Daley as a sole proprietor. Ms. Daley <br />subcontracts consultation services from a group of experts in assessment, standards, <br />natural science, history, and conservation as needed. She employs a small seasonal <br />staff to fabricate kits and maintain inventory.
