This is to certify that we, the undersigned residents of the State of Colorado, to-wit;
Clifford Walter, Jack Miles, Bert Potestio, John Sliman, C.R. Evans, have united ourselves
to become a body corporate under the name of ARKANSAS GROLTNDWATER USERS
ASSOCIATION under and by viriue of the laws of the State of Colorado, do hereby make,
execute and acknowledge this Certificate in writing of our intention so to become a body

Name
The corporate name of said corporation shall be: ARKANSAS GROLJNDWATER
USERS ASSOCIATION. (Hereinafter referred to as AGUA.)
SECOND
Pumoses and Powers
Said Corporation is incorporated for the following purposes:
Purposes: By all lawful means and in a11 lawful ways to protect and develop the
surface and underground waters of the State of Colorado in the Arkansas River
Basin to their fullest us. AGUA shail have the right to:
Conduct and or participate in studies and research, including but not limited
to:
(a)
(i) the amount, kind, use, lacation and development of underground
and surface waters located in, or originating in, the State of
Colorada
(ii)
(iii)
(iv)
Weather modification in the Staxe of Colorado, in order to
increase the surface and underground water of Colorado by
precipita.tion. �
Transmission into the State of Colorado of waters outside the
State of Colorado.
The location of dams, channels, ditches, pipelines, drains,
pumps, and each and every other structure or facility of any
nature whatsoever relating to water; and to encourage the use of
the same in order to make effective use of the waters of the State
of Colorado.
(v) The purification and use of all types of brackish �vater so that
such water may be purified and effectively used for lawful
purposes.
Develop, obtain, adjudicate, and deliver to and otherwise provide grotection
for its members by augmentation or other water supplies.
Acquire by appropriation or otherwise, and to lease, sell or dispose of water
rights, filinas on water rights, or other water supplies for any and all
