_�j <br />RESOLUTION <br />OPPOSING THE CgWSTRUCTTON OF THE PRO- <br />POSED NARROWS DAM PROJECT <br />The matter of the proposed construction of the NAfr(;Ws Dam project on the, <br />South Platte River has been discussed before the City Councils and after congidera <br />tion of the issues and problems raised by such project the Council has gone on <br />record as follows: <br />1. That construction of said project as now proposed does not appear to be <br />economically feasible and will be expensive and costly beyond all possible benefits <br />to be derived therefrom. <br />2. That flood control projects on the upper branches of such creeks or streams <br />as the Bijou or Kiowa are desirable and that any proposed construction for the <br />purpose of flood control be confined - to the upper reaches of streams tributary to <br />the South Platte River. <br />3. That no appropriation of waters should ever be adjudicated to such a project <br />and that to do so might detrimentally affect the rights of the City of Greeley and <br />other water users. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLTTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THD'CITY OF GREELEY, COLORADO/ <br />1.
