UPPER GUNNISON RIVER WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT <br />REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES <br />February 13, 2003 <br />The Board of Directors of the Upper Gunnison River Water Conservancy <br />District conducted a regularly scheduled meeting on February 13, 2003 at <br />7:00 p.m. at the Gunnison County Fairgrounds, Gunnison, Colorado. <br />Board members present were Don Cardin, Jim Cochran, Bob Drexel, Steve <br />Glazer, Bob Irby, Greg Peterson, Brett Redden, Ken Spann, and Harley <br />Tripp. Board members not present were Diane Lothamer and Dennis <br />Steckel. <br />Others present were: <br />Cindy Covell, Alperstein & Covell <br />Chris Dickey, Gunnison Country Times <br />Gary Hausler <br />Gib Marchand, Alperstein & Covell <br />Kathleen Curry, Manager <br />John McClow, Board attorney <br />Jill Steele, Office manager <br />Bill Trampe <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Board President Greg Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m <br />2. RECREATIONAL IN- CHANNEL DIVERSION APPLICATION <br />Ken Spann did not participate in the discussion of the RICD. <br />Cindy Covell said that trial is set for September 15, 2003. She said that she is <br />considering what additional discovery may be appropriate in this case. There was <br />a telephone case management conference yesterday at 1:00, and one of the <br />issues discussed was the need for a transcript. She said that the UVWUA does <br />not intend to actively participate but wants to be in the case. NECO has <br />withdrawn its opposition. <br />Page 1 of 6 <br />
